PURPOSE: A power saving method for a mobile communication terminal is provided to prevent that power is unnecessarily consumed by blocking that the power is supplied to an EV-DO(Evolution-Data Only) association element when an EV-DO network is not used. CONSTITUTION: When an initial power is supplied to an EV-DO terminal, an 1X network is activated and an EV-DO network is inactivated(SA1). When a user attempts a call in a standby state, if a voice call or a flag(EVDO_EXIST) is false, the 1X network provides a service(SA2-SA4). When the attempted call is a data call, if the EVDO_EXIST is true(SA5), the EV-DO network is activated for providing the service(SA7). |
