A position acquisition unit obtains current positioning data including information of current position of a vehicle. A veer detecting unit uses current positioning data to detect veering of vehicle from determined travel route. A travel route determination unit determines new travel route when veering of vehicle is detected. The travel route determination unit employs the detection result of the veer detection unit to determine new travel route with one or more route determination conditions. Independent claims are also included for the following: (a) a navigation system for vehicle; (b) a route providing method for vehicle; and (c) a computer program product for causing computer to execute route providing method for vehicle.
