METHOD FOR UPGRADING SYSTEM SOFTWARE OF HOME APPLIANCE

PURPOSE: A method for upgrading a system software of a home appliance is provided to automatically upgrade the system software of the home appliance by connecting a home server to a server of a home appliance maker through the Internet and comparing the system software version of the home appliance with the latest system software offered from the home appliances maker. CONSTITUTION: The home server and the home appliance form a home network. After connecting the home server to a home appliances maker server through the Internet, a version of the system software installed to the home appliance is compared with the version of the latest system software offered from the home appliances maker(S100). If the version of the latest system software is later than the version of the system software installed to the home appliance, the system software of the home appliance is upgraded by downloading the latest system software from the home appliances maker(S120).
