Drive system for a light emitting display panel

A controller generates and supplies lighting instructions for display panel based on pixel data extracted from memory at predetermined interval, to the driver circuit of a display panel. The controller also generates voltage control signal for changing the value of supply voltage of the panel's power supply circuit, in accordance with the display lighting rate. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) display panel drive apparatus; and (2) display panel driving method.
