PURPOSE: A drain plug of an oil pan is provided to efficiently remove metal impurities on a bottom of the oil pan by expanding range of a magnetic field of a magnet installed to the drain plug. CONSTITUTION: A drain plug(1) has a magnet(5) installed to a shank part(3) thereof, and a plurality of metal rotary arms(7) installed to the magnet to be radially spread so as to expand range of a magnetic field of the magnet. The metal rotary arms are supported by rotary shafts formed on the magnet in such a manner that the metal rotary arms are rotated. A restricting unit is installed between the rotary shaft and the metal rotary arm to restrict movement of the metal rotary arm so that the metal rotary arm is rotated within an acute angle to allow the drain plug to be mounted to an oil pan. The restricting unit comprises a stopper protrusion formed on the rotary shaft, and a cut-away groove formed on the metal rotary arm to allow the stopper protrusion to be inserted to the metal rotary arm.
