The present application relates to an optical driver assis-tance systems mounted in a vehicle, and in particular to an optical autonomous emergency brake sensor of a vehicle. Further, the present application relates to an optical sensor device for a vehicle which is used as a rain sensor. Therein, an optical sensor device for a vehicle comprises a transmitting portion (11) for transmitting a light beam from the inside of the vehicle through a window of the vehicle to enable reflection of the light beam on objects in front of the window and a receiving portion (13) for receiving reflected light rays of the light beam, wherein the receiving portion (13) comprises an additional masking device (15, 21) and a photo-detector (16) positioned behind the additional masking device (15, 21) and wherein the additional masking device (15, 21) is designed to block the transmission of light rays being in an intended illumination field to the photo-detector (16) but allowing the transmission of reflected light rays being outside of the intended illumination field to the photo-detector (16). |
