APPARATUS FOR FORMING BACK BEAD USED IN WELDER

PURPOSE: A back bead forming apparatus for a welder is provided form an optimal back bead according to a thickness of a strip by exchanging a backup bar in match with the thickness of the strip. CONSTITUTION: A back bead forming apparatus includes a backup bar(20) installed on a base of a welder, a rotating member for rotating the backup bar(20) in such a manner that slots(21) formed in the backup bar(20) are oriented toward a strip, a clamping section for fixing the backup bar(20), and an atmosphere gas injection unit for injecting atmosphere gas through the backup bar(20). The slots(21) are formed along an outer peripheral portion of the backup bar(20). The backup bar(20) has a circular section shape and the slots(21) formed in the backup bar(20) have an arc shape.
