PURPOSE: A multi-greetings service system and a method therefor is provided to communicate desired contents to desired persons through respectively different greetings for received calls in case that a user cannot respond to telephone calls. CONSTITUTION: A multi-greetings service system is comprised of a calling-side exchange(10), a called-side exchange(20), a VMS(Voice Mail System) equipment(50), an absent information service server(30), and a setting voice storage and sending unit(40). In case that a calling-side mobile phone(60) makes a call to a called-side mobile phone(70) but there is no response from the called-side mobile phone, the absent information service server(30) confirms whether the phone number of the calling-side mobile phone(60) exists in an absent information list. If it is confirmed that the phone number of the calling-side mobile phone(60) exists in the absent information list, the absent information service server(30) sends a voice, stored in the setting voice storage and sending unit(40), to the called-side exchange(20). The voice is transmitted to the calling-side mobile phone(60) through the calling-side exchange(10), then it is connected to the VMS equipment(50) so that the caller can leave a voice message.
