PURPOSE:To prolong the pot life without deteriorating fluidity and secure the appropriate setting time and excellent strength developing property by incorporating calcium aluminate, acrylate-methacrylate copolymer, carbonate, borate and carboxylic acids. CONSTITUTION:Calcium aluminate is formed by mixing an alumina material such as bauxite and a calcia material such as limestone in a ratio to form a specified mineral, melting or burning the mixture and crushing the obtained hydraulic mineral. The acrylate-methacrylate copolymer is a copolymer of acrylic acid (including its derivative, polyacrylic acid and their alkali salt) or the inorg. salt and methacrylic acid (as mentioned above) or the inorg. salt. Sodium carbonate, sodium hydrogen carbonate, etc., should preferably be used as the carbonate. The borate is expressed by H3BO3. The carboxylic acids are used to prolong the pot life when a castable is kneaded and to improve fluidity. Such materials are combined. |
