The gearbox (10) comprises a solid primary shaft (20) and a concentric hollow primary shaft (30). There are two secondary shafts (50,60) with attack pinions (51,61) for the same differential crown wheel (70). The solid primary shaft has fixed teeth (22) which mesh with two idler pinions (82,84) carried by the secondary shafts. The hollow primary shaft has first fixed teeth (31) which mesh with two idler pinions (84,85) carried by the secondary shafts and second fixed teeth (32) meshing with an idler pinion (86) carried by the secondary shaft (60) and a fixed pinion (91) carried by the reverse gear intermediate shaft (90).
