PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a locking device for crime prevention which uses a locking arm and enhances a security effect in an automatic vending machine etc. SOLUTION: In this locking device, the locking arm 10 formed by being bent in an approximate U shape is arranged between the side surface 46 of a machine body A and the top surface 47 thereof in such a manner as to straddle an upper corner 45 which is provided on the hinge H side of an outside door B; and both ends 10a and 10b of the locking arm 10 are detachably held by first and second arm holders 11 and 12 which are fixed to the side surface 46 and the top surface 47 of the machine body A, respectively. The arm holder 11 is equipped with a lock means for performing locking/unlocking by operating a key 15, and a holding means for engageably/disengageably holding the locking arm 10 in interlock with locking/unlocking operations of the lock means.
