<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To satisfactorily maintain both multipath resistance and the separation characteristics between cells for simultaneously enabling communication by adaptively controlling not only a diffusion coefficient but also the number of subcarriers and a subcarrier bandwidth according to the state of a propagation path. <P>SOLUTION: A transmitter for multicarrier-CDMA modulation system has a second signal control means for controlling the number of subcarriers and the subcarrier bandwidth of a multicarrier-CDMA diffusion signal. Furthermore, an interleaving means is controlled based on a control signal outputted from a first signal control means and the second one, and a signal diffusion means is controlled based on the control signal outputted from the first and second signal control means. Additionally, a multicarrier modulation means is controlled, based on a control signal outputted from the second signal control means, thus achieving an adaptive change in the number of subcarriers and the subcarrier bandwidth in collective multicarrier modulation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
