<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To present an index indicating whether a used article should be taken as a trade-in or purchase when a user has the used article taken over. <P>SOLUTION: A Web server which receives the maximum value PAmax of a purchase estimation price from a database server calculates the minimum value PAmin of the purchase estimation price or the maximum value PBmax/minimum value PBmin of the trade-in estimation price on the basis of the value PAmax (a step 210). Then, the Web server decides whether or not the PAmax exceeds P1 (a step S220), and when the PAmax exceeds the P1, decides that the used article is worth a purchase which is not accompanied with the purchase of merchandise, and that it is also worth trade-in which is accompanied with the purchase of new merchandise.
