PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation system which can display the display contents having a proper amount of information, according to the circumstances. SOLUTION: A driving load calculation part 32 inputs the information on the current vehicle traveling environment, and calculates the driving load of the driver, on the basis of the inputted information on the traveling environment. A presentation processing part 33 changes the display contents to be displayed, on the basis of the driving load obtained by the driving load calculation part 32. Namely, the driving load calculation part 32 inputs the information on the traveling environment such as the velocity of the vehicle, the shape of the road for the traveling, the time, the weather, the traffic condition, and so forth, and obtains the driving load, on the basis of the inputted information, thereby obtaining how much the driver concentrates on the driving and how much the driver can carefully watch the display contents.
