PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display a graphic image corresponding to a prescribed index display of an endoscope apparatus, selected from index displays indicating a plurality of functions of the endoscope apparatus. SOLUTION: This apparatus includes an endoscope and an image filing device to process signals from the endoscope. Furthermore, the apparatus includes an index display section to indicate a plurality of functions of the image filing device and a graphic display section to show graphic images corresponding to the plurality of the functions indicated in the index display.
