In a measuring device (10) in the form of a nipple of a baby's comforter, a sensor (16) is embedded in a nipple body (11). Conductors (17) for connection of the sensor (16) to an electronic measuring circuit is also embedded in the nipple body material and are tortuously shaped. Each of the conductors is constituted by a twin helically wound metal wire, and the sensor (16) is constituted by a wafer thermistor. The nipple body (11) is fixed in a central hole of a flange member (40) also constituting a housing of the electronic measuring equipment which is arranged on a printed circuit (47) also supporting a turn on contact (46) which is adapted to be brought into contact with a battery (23) and an LCD-display for displaying the measured maximum temperature. By embedding the sensor and the tortuously shaped conductors in the nipple body, a baby's comforter is provided which has a homogeneous body without lumps or other abnormalities, and the tortuous shape allows the conductor means to adapt itself to deformation of the nipple body, even when it is exposed to strong masticatory or sucking stresses.
