<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an anti-glare film having a high anti-glare property and high scratch resistance and capable of preventing the reflection and glare of an outer scene on the display surface of a display device even in the case of a highly accurate display device. <P>SOLUTION: A liquid component containing a polymer, curing resin precursor (e.g. ultraviolet curing resin) and a solvent is applied or spread to the surface of a transparent plastic film, the solvent is evaporated, phase separating structure is formed by spinodal decomposition, and the curing resin precursor is cured by light irradiation or the like to form an anti-glare film. The obtained anti-glare film has rugged structure on the surface of an anti-glare layer and is constituted so that incident light is transmitted and scattered in an isotropic state, a scatter angle indicating the maximum value of scattered light intensity is 0.1-10° and total light transmissivity is 70-100%. Transmitted image clearness which is measured by a mapping measuring instrument using an optical comb of 0.5mm width is 70-100% and haze is 20-50%. Scratch resistance is applied to the anti-glare layer by the curing of the curing resin precursor. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
