摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a highly precise printing quality by suppressing a paper displacement when a paper rear end separates from a transfer roller without physically changing a paper feed control and the configuration of a paper transfer mechanism. SOLUTION: All nozzles d1 of a nozzle part are brought in a usable state as a normal printing operation when the paper rear end has a distance x1 ofαfrom a first sensor 602. It is so controlled that the number of usable nozzles is reduced when the paper rear end is from a point of the distance x1 to a point x2 of the first sensor 602, and at the same time a feed amount of the paper is reduced. In a section from the position x2 of the first sensor 602 to a position x3 of a second sensor 603, printing is interrupted for measuring a paper feed precision. The paper feed precision is measured until the paper rear end is detected by the second sensor 603 while the paper is sent by a minute amount. In a section at the downstream side from the point x3 where the paper rear end is detected by the second sensor 603, printing is resumed by a nozzle group d3 of the paper downstream side, whereby an image in the middle of printing is completed.
