PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress an uneven display state when a plurality of luminescent pixels are lit altogether in a dot matrix type fluorescent character display tube conducting pattern display by selecting the luminescent pixel with a plurality of grid electrodes. SOLUTION: An aperture shape of the grid electrode 107 is formed in a rectangle long in the extending direction of the grid electrode 107. For example, the grid electrodes 107 are constituted so that rectangular aperture parts are arranged in 7 rows. In addition, the aperture parts in adjacent rows are arranged on different levels. For example, the aperture parts in adjacent rows are arranged so as to slip in the row direction by the half length of the long side of the aperture part. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
