PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve luminance by increasing the amount of electrons for exciting a phosphor of each unit pixel. SOLUTION: Negative electrode selection electrodes CSG for hitting electrons from a plurality of negative electrodes (negative electrode wiring CL and electron sources K) against the phosphors of unit pixels are formed, between a positive electrode AE provided for a front panel PN2 and control electrodes (a strip electrode element) MRG provided for a back panel PN1, in parallel with an extension direction of the strip electrode element.
