PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure the air tightness of a reactor containment vessel and improve the workability of the work for replacing penetrating pipes penetrating the reactor containment vessel in narrow working spaces inside and outside it. SOLUTION: A method for removing the penetration parts of the pipes penetrating the reactor containment vessel 1 whose penetration parts 3 are airtightly welded and where a biological shield wall 2 is placed outside the reactor containment vessel 1 adjacently to the penetration parts 3 and replacing them with new penetration parts 103 has a process for cutting the pipes inside and outside the reactor containment vessel 1 near the penetration parts 3, a process for removing the penetration parts of the cut pipes from the reactor containment vessel 1, a penetration welding process for mounting the new penetration parts on the reactor containment vessel 1 one by one and airtightly welding them through deep fillet welding from inside the reactor containment vessel 1 and a pipe connection process for connecting both ends of the new penetration parts 103 to pipes 106 inside and outside the reactor containment vessel 1 respectively through welding after the penetration welding process.
