A lubricator apparatus comprises a tank (12) having a lower portion (18) forming a reservoir for lubricating oil to be combined with compressed air to form a lubricating air-oil mist. The tank bottom has a surface exposed to the lubricating oil in the tank and an air passageway (40) therethrough between an air inlet (22) and an air outlet (24, 26) through which the compressed air is passed before it enters the tank. A solenoid valve (20) is mounted in a heat-transfer relationship to the tank bottom, the valve operatively controlling the air passageway, whereby heat generated by solenoid operation is transferred to the lubricating oil to raise the temperature of the oil. The tank bottom may also include a filter (44) and condensate drain system (52) to filter the compressed air and remove moisture therefrom. |
