PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-transmissive display object which has a boundary between a pattern and a ground distinctly visually recognized regardless of the whitish light-colored ground, a manufacturing method therefor, a member for lighted pushbutton switches, and a manufacturing method therefor. SOLUTION: The light-transmissive display object has a base material 2 made of a transparent resin sheet, a reflecting layer 3 which is provided on the surface of the base material in opposition to a light source and can be chemically etched with acids or alkaline solutions, and the ground being a light-colored layer 5 which is laminated on the surface of the reflecting layer 3 and has a whitish color, and a blanked pattern 4 piercing the light-colored layer 5 and the reflecting layer 3 with the same shape is formed in a part of the ground.
