<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coffee maker having a water filtering function, reduced in size of a water filtering device without lowering of performance of the water filtering device. <P>SOLUTION: This coffee maker includes: a heating means 4 for heating water introduced from a water container 2 to supply hot water; a water water supply opening 6 for feeding hot water supplied from the heating means 4 to a coffee extract chamber 7; and the water filtering device 8 disposed between the hot water supply opening 6 and the coffee extract chamber 7 and having activated charcoal 10. The water filtering device 8 is provided with at least two or more activated charcoal pieces 10 disposed in an arbitrary space 12. Thus, each activated charcoal piece 10 can be made thin, so that the speed of passing the hot water through the activated charcoal can be increased. Further, the space 12 is provided to dispose two or more pieces of activated charcoal 10, whereby the capacity of the water filtering device 8 itself can be reduced without lowering of water filtering rate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
