PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure prevention of the accumulation of dust at an air inlet, and to enable an alteration of a cooling area in a main body. SOLUTION: An induction heating rice cooker is equipped with the main body 2, a lid body 26, and an induction heating means (an induction heating coil 22) for heating a rice cooking pan 1, and performs a rice cooking operation while cooling the rice cooking pot 1 with the outside air passing through the main body 2 by the activation of a fan 21. The fan 21 which makes reverse rotations is placed and is rotated in the reverse direction either for a prescribed period of time before the end of the rice cooking operation or for at least a part of the period of time until a drop in temperature of the rice cooking pot 1 to a prescribed warming temperature after the end of the rice cooking operation. As the other alternative, an air volume detecting means is provided, and the fan 21 is rotated in the reverse direction for a prescribed period of time during the rice cooking operation when the air volume drops lower than a prescribed threshold value during the activation of the fan 21.
