PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multiband radio capable of suppressing a sharp increase in cost of circuit component or power consumption by having a plurality of wide-band transmission/reception section of the same configuration. SOLUTION: A multiband radio is provided with: a first transmission/reception section for operating in the prescribed frequency range; a second transmission/reception section which operable frequency range is the same with the whole of one part of the operable frequency of the first transmission/reception section, in a plurality of transmission/reception sections; a switching part for switching the connection in the first transmission/reception section and the second transmission/reception section; and a control part for switching the switching part based on the reception signal and controlling the transmission/reception by sharing the frequency converting part converting IF frequency and RF frequency of the first and the second transmission/reception sections when the first and second transmission/reception sections transmit/receive in the operable frequency range.
