PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve driving feel of a vehicle by varying the degree of acceleration during kickdown acceleration by operation of an accelerator pedal. SOLUTION: A continuously transmission comprises a primary pulley and a secondary pulley, and by varying pulley groove width, rotation of an input shaft can be transmitted to an output shaft continuously variably. When operation to return an accelerator pedal is conducted during execution of a kickdown mode or a kickdown second mode, a rotation lowering mode is set to reduce target rotation speed of the primary pulley. Target rotation speed lower limit change quantity in the rotation lowering mode is separately set from target rotation speed lower limit change quantity for ordinary shift control. Speed change in accordance with the will of a driver is thus achieved by operation of the accelerator pedal in kickdown control. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
