PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a location on an electronic map able to be designated in a three-dimensionally displayed electronic map. SOLUTION: A map display device displays a three-dimensional virtual space VS three-dimensionally on a display screen DSP on the basis of electronic map data. On the display screen DSP, in the case that a designated point designated by a user is present in an area on the upper side of the axis ax of the display screen, it is designated as a point on the axis AX of the virtual space VS. In the case that the designated point is the point inside an area where a stereoscopic object is not present on the lower side of the axis ax of the display screen DSP, it is specified as a point on the ground surface G of the virtual space VS. In the case that the designated point is the point inside the area where the stereoscopic object is present on the lower side of the axis ax of the display screen DSP, the representative point of the stereoscopic object is specified.
