PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tape printer in which accident can be lessened when a tape cartridge is replaced and stored for reuse, or convenience can be enhanced when printing is waited without replacing the tape cartridge, and to provide a tape processing method and program, and a storage medium. SOLUTION: The tape printer loaded with a tape cartridge C containing a tape T at the tape loading section and printing on the tape while feeding it from the tape cartridge C comprises a means 120 for feeding the tape by a specified length when turn-off power is designated automatically or manually, a means 12 for printing specified items described when power is turned off onto the tape T in conjunction with the operation for feeding the tape by a specified length when power is turned off, and a means 200 for turning power off after the tape is fed by a specified length when power is turned off.
