PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a conductive member which is easily manufactured and by which uniform electrification or transfer where electric field dependence and the change of resistance due to environment are reduced is attained by preventing the change of resistance due to a current flow and improving the uniformity of electric resistance. SOLUTION: The conductive member is provided with a conductive elastic body to perform electrification or transfer by being supplied with a bias current and a power feeding support body to feed electric power to the conductive elastic body and to support it, and consists at least of a conductive support body and the conductive elastic body. The conductive elastic body contains composite particle powder where the surface of inorganic oxide particles is coated with a surface layer having electronic conductivity. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
