PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely wipe off dust collected by a filter over the entire surface of the filter. SOLUTION: In this bag filter type dust collector 10, a knocking device 40 is attached to the lower end of a pipe member 28 being the shape retaining member of the filter 22. The knocking device 40 is equipped with a piston 42 falling by compressed air injected into the pipe member 28 and a knocker 46 cooperating with the piston 42 to knock the bottom surface of the filter 22 from the inside.
