PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutter used for a food slicer capable of maintaining the successful cut-off state of a sliced piece and easily carrying out grinding of a blade edge. SOLUTION: In the food slicer, the cutter mounted while making the edge of the blade horizontal is provided so that it carries out quadrangular motion having a series of track with linear reciprocation motion and an article to be sliced is subjected to slicing working by drawing cutting or pushing cutting motion of the cutter. A scraper 5 formed with an inclination surface 6 making a tip edge 7 to an acute angle shape is detachably mounted to a flat part of a cutter body 1 and the tip edge 7 of the scraper 5 is closely applied along a longitudinal direction of a cutting blade part 2 of the cutter body 1. A slope is provided against the longitudinal direction of the tip 3 of the blade so as to cut in to the article to be sliced when slicing. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
