<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To check a difference between a version of an API in a system side service such as a control service and a version of an API to be used by an application. <P>SOLUTION: In the image forming apparatus equipped with an application for performing processes on image forming and a system service for performing processes of a system side on the basis of a request by using an API from the application, the apparatus is provided with an acquisition means for obtaining version information of APIs used by the application for the system service and version information of APIs of the system service, and a comparison means for comparing, API by API, versions of te APIs used by the application for the system service with versions of the APIs of the system service. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
