<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an external preparation for skin containing an active ingredient excellent in moisture retaining effect and chapped skin-improving effect, because the moisture-retaining effect and chapped skin-improving effect of conventional external preparations are not necessarily sufficient and development of an active ingredient further excellent in these effects and an external preparation for skin containing the ingredient is desired, though external preparations for skin containing various active ingredients are already known. <P>SOLUTION: The external preparation for skin comprises an extract of a plant belonging to the genus Asplenium L. excellent in a moisture-retaining property and excellent in chapped skin-improving/preventing effects as the active ingredient. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
