<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To constitute a liquid crystal display device having joints formed by joining together a plurality of liquid crystal panels in a longitudinal direction and/or a transverse direction in such a manner that the joints are made inconspicuous even if the width of the light shielding sections in the joint portions is greater to some extent and that oblique lines are less bent across the joint portions even if the oblique lines are displayed. <P>SOLUTION: The respective liquid crystal panels 12 constituting the liquid crystal display device 10 have a plurality of pixel columns extending in the longitudinal direction and a plurality of pixel rows extending in the transverse direction and have the light shielding sections around the respective pixels. The pixels are so formed that their sizes M1, M2, M3, etc., are increasingly greater according as the pixels separate more from the joints 12' and the light shielding sections between the pixel columns extending in the longitudinal direction are so formed that their widths S1, S2, S3, etc., are increasingly smaller according as the light shielding sections separate more from the joints 12'. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
