PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crystal oscillator that has a stable high frequency characteristic even in a low current. SOLUTION: In this crystal oscillator 50, bases of transistors Q1 and Q2 for oscillation are connected in common, a series circuit of a capacitor element C1 and a capacitor element C2 to be a portion of a load capacity is inserted and connected between the bases and ground, a connection middle point A of the series circuit is connected to a point where emitters of the transistors Q1 and Q2 for oscillation are connected in common, and an emitter resistor R3 is connected. Further, a base bias circuit consisting of a resistor R1 and a resistor R2 to the bases of the transistors Q1 and Q2 for oscillation, a crystal vibrator Y1 is inserted and connected between the bases of the transistors Q1 and Q2 for oscillation and ground, and in addition, the collectors of the transistors Q1 and Q2 for oscillation are connected to a power supply voltage Vcc line.
