PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new method for searching therapeutic agents for virus infection, tumor, etc.

SOLUTION: The polynucleotide selected from the group comprising following [i] to [iv]: [i] a polynucleotide encoding a polypeptide constituting human originated 2', 5'-oligo adenylic acid phosphohdieterase; [ii] a polynucleotide containing the sequence of the above nucleotide as a partial sequence;[iii] a polynucleotide hybridizing with a polynucleotide comprising a nucleotide sequence completely complementary to the nucleotide sequence expressed by the [i] in a stringent condition. A polynucleotide encoding a polypeptide having 2', 5'-oligo adenylic acid phosphohdieterase activity;[iv] a shorter one of polynucleotides inserted between two recognition sites of a restricted enzyme EcoR1 of recombinant plasmid DNA owned by the transformed Escherichia coli(E.coli, FREM BP-8142).
