METHOD OF MOUNTING HOLDDOWN HARDWARE AND REINFORCING BRACE ACCOMMODATED IN ALSO DOUBLE-SIDED CORE WALL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To propose a brace of high strength and excellent workability accommodated in also a double-sided core wall while transmitting the drawing force of a column by the brace directly to a foundation.

SOLUTION: U-shaped holddown hardware 5 is provided on the upper and lower sides between a sill 3 and a beam, and the upper part is jointed to the beam at a part close to a column 1 by a bolt, while the lower part is jointed to the foundation 8 at a part close to the column 1 with an anchor bolt with the sill 3 held between and fastened to the column 1 by coach bolts 2. The reinforcing brace 6 of a strap bolt with a long nut, or the hardware of a T-shaped long nut is mounted to the inside of the U-shaped holddown hardware 5 and attached from the outside with two bolts.
