PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper feed cassette with a side guide endurable to the load and impact of sheets of paper to be stored, if increased, and allowable in a wide range for a width change of the paper sheet. SOLUTION: The paper feed cassette comprises a guide member provided with a base having a tooth-shaped portion arranged on the inner wall of the cassette and an arm member for connecting the base to the side guide and holding the side guide movable in the cross direction of the sheets of paper.
