<p>The exhaust manifold is designed as a metal pipe (2) enveloped by an insulating layer (3) made of a silicate band or mineral wool produced in a band shape and wound around the pipe (2). The surface of the layer is coated with a sprayed-on metal (4), creating the impression of a solid metal pipe. The color of the coating (4) can be varied by applying several layers of the metal fluid. The high performance muffler comprises a perforated stainless steel pipe (2a) enveloped by a layer of steel wool (5) surrounded by a layer of insulating material (3) which is provided with the sprayed -on metal effect (4) according to the manifold.</p> |
