The crank housing ventilation device has an oil separator (20) positioned upstream of a pressure regulating valve (17), with blow-by-gas operation during engine idling or partial load via a vent line (21) containing a throttle point (15) coupled to the air intake (6) downstream of the throttle flap (11). The opening of the pressure regulating valve is controlled via a throttle (9) coupled to the air intake downstream of the throttle flap and to the vent line between the pressure regulating valve and the throttle point.
