FIELD: power engineering; chemical and metallurgy industries; medical industry. SUBSTANCE: the invention presents an electrodialyzer - a sweet water filter for purification of water. The invention falls into electrochemical technology and can be used in power, chemical, metallurgical, medical industries, predominantly in water treatment for production of potable water. The offered electrodialyzer - a sweet water filter for purification of water includes electrodes, between which there are different title ion-separating diaphragmas and gaskets forming the working chambers; branch-pipes for water delivery and withdrawal; pressing plates and a contraction device. The electrodialyzer contains two pairs of electrodes and an anode of one pair and a cathode of another pair of electrodes are made out of different materials and located on one side of the working chambers. Technical result: the electrodialyzer can work at the high densities of current ensuring desalination of ocean and sea water and an increase of the process efficiency. EFFECT: the electrodialyzer ensures desalination of ocean and sea water, increases efficiency of the process. 18 cl, 4 dwg
