FIELD: cigarette industry. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has four sensors: one sensor for controlling of cigarette butts and one sensor for controlling of cigarette mid portion for detecting of loose tobacco end of cigarette, for detecting of filter at other end of cigarette and foil ring in mid portion of cigarette. Forth sensor is adapted for delivering to apparatus data allowing operation of apparatus units to be synchronized for detecting three control factors. Binary data is then delivered to programmed logic controller input for data processing and rejection in case defects are detected. Program installed in programmed logic controller allows cigarette butt to be scanned multiple times for detecting loose tobacco end of cigarette. Indicated data produced are directed into shifting register, which controls rejection valve or like device for actuation thereof to remove rejected cigarettes from product flow. EFFECT: increased efficiency in detecting of defects in individual cigarettes in high-speed product flow and removal of rejected cigarettes from product flow. 4 cl, 9 dwg |
