PURPOSE: A method for displaying a power supply state of a mobile communication terminal using an external LCD backlight color is provided to amuse a user with various visual effects according to battery power supply state by variably displaying an LED backlight color according to a charging process of a mobile terminal. CONSTITUTION: A charger of a mobile communication terminal starts charging(201). It is determined whether an external power is being supplied(202). If there is an external power supply, it is determined whether a charge has been completed(203). If a value of an ADC signal is a voltage with a charge rate of 25 percent, an external LED provided at an external LCD is lighted in yellow color(204). If a value of an ADC signal is a voltage with a charge rate of 50 percent, the external LED is lighted in blue color(205). If a value of an ADC signal is a voltage with a charge rate of 75 percent, the external LED is lighted in green color(206). If a value of an ADC signal is a voltage with a charge rate of 100 percent, the external LED is lighted in red color(204), and the charging operation is terminated(208).
