PURPOSE: A central control system of a multi air conditioner and a method for operating the same are provided to easily realize central management of all details related to air conditioning, and improve the efficiency and the convenience of controlling a multi air conditioner. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of indoor units(100) are installed in a room for air conditioning. A plurality of outdoor units(200) are connected with the plurality of indoor units for controlling the plurality of indoor units. A central controller(300) is connected with the outdoor units through an inner network to input commands for monitoring and controlling the plurality of indoor units and the outdoor units. A user confirms the control state from the outside through the central controller.
