ADVANCE ALARM APPARATUS FOR ALARMING DANGEROUS TRAFFIC STATUS BY USING GPS RECEIVER AND WIRELESS TRANSCEIVER AND METHOD FOR THE SAME

PURPOSE: An advance alarm apparatus for alarming the dangerous traffic status by using the global positioning system(GPS) receiver and a wireless transceiver and a method for the same are provided to previously prevent the danger generated at the emergency traffic status by alarming the dangerous status to the driver. CONSTITUTION: An advance alarm apparatus for alarming the dangerous traffic status by using the global positioning system(GPS) receiver and a wireless transceiver includes a GPS receiver(13), a radio frequency(RF) transmitter(14), an RF receiver(15), a main computer unit(12) and a transmitting and receiving switch(20). The GPS receiver(13) receives the position related information through the GPS antenna from the GPS satellite. The RF transmitter(14) transmits the dangerous signal including the current position information. The RF receiver(15) receives the danger signal transmitted from the other device located at a long distance. The main computer unit(12) transmits the danger signal with including the current positioning information to the RF receiver(15) and generates the alarm to the driver when the driver's vehicle is approaching the traffic accident dangerous area. And, the transmitting and receiving switch(20) switches the transmission path between the transmission and reception antenna and the RF transmitter(14) and the receiving path between the transmission and reception antenna and the RF receiver(15) in response to the control of the main computer unit(12).
