PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-speed rotary machine capable of extending service life of supplementary bearings by preventing a rotation shaft from wobbling at touch-down. SOLUTION: In the high-speed rotary machine having the rotation shaft 50 for rotating at a high speed, non-contact type bearings 61, 62 for supporting the rotation shaft 50 and the supplementary bearings 71, 72 for supporting the rotation shaft 50 at the time of touch down, tapered surfaces 71a, 72a are formed on an inner peripheral side of the supplementary bearings 71, 72 and shaft sleeves 91, 92 which have tapered surfaces 91a, 92a capable of fitting to the tapered surfaces 71a, 72a of the supplementary bearings 71, 72 on an outer peripheral are mounted to the rotation shaft 50.
