PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a novel camptothecin derivative, a medicinal composition containing the same, an antitumor agent, an antiviral agent, and an antiparasitic agent. SOLUTION: The novel camptothecin analogs are a group of analogs obtained by substituting aβ-hydroxylactone for theα-hydroxylactone of natural camptothecin.
