PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical tool capable of sedating severe paroxysmal pain of facial neuralgia, herpes zoster, etc., and free from side actions of medicines. SOLUTION: A natural ore containing multiple elements including radioactive isotope<SP>40</SP>K and mined from the mineral vein of Mt. Sobo of Kyushu mountains is cut to spherical form of several millimeter diameter with a diamond grinder. Several hundreds of the spheres are put in a heat-resistant cloth bag and the obtained hot pack for analgesic use is heated with a microwave oven. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
