<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control method for an ink jet printer in which ink consumption can be calculated accurately even if the working environment is varied, a program for realizing it, a recording medium, an ink jet printer, and a printer driver. <P>SOLUTION: Information of the atmospheric pressure in an environment where an ink jet printer 10 is installed is acquired based on a user input, and unit ink ejection quantity is determined based on the information of atmospheric pressure thus acquired.
